Everyone Mumin should have an appointed/named next of Kin. Not having this in place can cause severe delays and issues.
This is an important role to ensure the that the burial is in accordance with our beliefs and values. As the named next of Kin you will have responsibilities to fulfil. See below guidance which will be applicable in most if not all cases.
Inform Amil Saheb (Office) and request dua araz in hazrat imamiyah.
As per instructions from Amil Saheb office, you will then need to get in touch with Najmi Baag committee (see ‘Key contacts’ table below). Who will support you.
Najmi Baag committee endeavours to support and assist you in this important time. You will be advised to:
Obtain a ‘Medical Certificate’ from the hospital which will enable you to register the death and receive a ‘Death Certificate’. The process of obtaining this may vary depending on where the person has passed away i.e. in the hospital , at home etc. Also this may vary depending of the cause of death.
Send this certificate to Najmi Baag.
