The Dawoodi Bohra families of London have lived and worked peacefully in and around Ealing since the 1960s. Our masjid or mosque is called Husaini Masjid and is located in Northolt. It is a central meeting point for under 900 families in our community.
Our story begins in the 1960s when a few Dawoodi Bohras from East Africa moved to London in search of a new and better future for themselves and their families. They welcomed the 52nd leader of the Dawoodi Bohras or al-Dai al-Mutlaq the Late Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin in 1974 at London, UK. As the community continued to grow, families found a home in the 'Burhani Centre in Fulham. The Late Dr Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin visited from India countless times and encouraged the community to create a permanent centre for worship.
